Come join us for our annual preaching conference on Friday, November 12, 2021 at The University of St. Mary of the Lake. This year, Fr. Daniel Cardo, Associate Professor of Sacred Scripture at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary, will speak on theological and practical approaches to the art of preaching. Lunch will be included.
Speaker Bio:
Father Daniel Cardó was born in Lima, Peru, in 1975. A member of the Sodalitium Christianae Vitae, he was ordained to the priesthood in 2006, and in 2010 was appointed to Holy Name Parish, Denver. He is also the chaplain of Christ in the City.
He received his Doctorate from Liverpool Hope University in 2015 and holds the Benedict XVI Chair of Liturgical Studies at Saint John Vianney Theological Seminary in Denver. He is also visiting professor at the Augustine Institute. He is the author of The Cross and the Eucharist in Early Christianity: A Theological and Liturgical Investigation (Cambridge University Press, 2019), What Does it Mean to Believe? Faith in the Thought of Joseph Ratzinger (Emmaus Academic, 2020), and The Art of Preaching: A Theological and Practical Primer (Catholic University of America Press, 2021).
